Mississippi Trip

We finished up the month of Feburary by taking a long weekend trip down to Mississippi to visit Heath's family and best friend. We planned just right as Lanna had her 10th birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese while we were down there. It was warm when we arrived but turned south (no pun intended!) and they were actually hit with snow! I guess this is a rare thing that only happens once in several years. The further north we drove home, the deeper the snow got. You would think it was no problem for us northerners, however they don't have much to clear their roads!!! It took us an hour or two extra to drive home that Sunday.... as if the 8 hour drive isn't long enough!

Brooklynn LOVES to visit MS. She has her cousin Kelsey Brooke to play with and they are connected at the hip. She also has cousins Lanna, Deklan, and baby Jacob to spend time with as well. And if she isn't spending time with them, she is more than likely with Greg's daughters, Lydia and Elise, who are just one year above and below her age. As you can imagine it didn't take Brooklynn but a few minutes on the way home to conk out because of all the play time she did while visiting.

Heath also had his play time as well! He and Greg stayed up late playing the guitar and singing to their hearts delight...well that is until they woke me up at 1 in the morning (2am Eastern time) and were forced to stop or be reckoned with. So they turned to their favorite movie, Tropic Thunder, until they couldn't keep their lids open any more.

He looks so much older than he really is! Only 6 months old.
