Our Dancing Ballerina

In March Brooklynn started taking dance with the Traveling Tutus. She had been spinning around singing the princess barbie song from her movie so we decided it was time she learned some real moves. Here is her dancing before her 1st class. SO CUTE! If you listen closely you can even hear her singing!

The class met once a week for 45 min at a local park building in Fishers. It was a ballet class that also introduced other dancing styles and accesories. Below is a picture of the bluebird on my shoulder dance and another one of the lamb song.

She absolutely LOVED it! Here is a video of her first class and trying to learn by following her teacher. She is the one right behind the teacher in the pretty purple.

I was sad to see the class end but we will definitely sign her up again in the future. At the end of the 4 weeks the parents were asked to attend the final class as the "recital". She received a certificate and we couldn't leave without a picture with dance instrustor Shelly. She was great with the kids. Needless to say we were extremely proud parents of our beautiful ballerina! It was also the Cubs opening day....can you tell?

Nolan Scott Rogers

My one and only nephew was born on April 24th at 1:17am at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He weighted a whopping 9lbs and 1oz (a whole 3 lbs heavier than Brooklynn when she was born) and was 21 inches long. It was a long labor and Aimee ended up having a C-section but Benj, Mom, and Terri were all able to watch it and take pictures!

I am surprised how much I want to hold him. He is such a sweet baby who likes to sleep a lot, only eating every 5-6 hours! Lucky for Aimee who is breastfeeding! Brooklynn was excited to see him but didn't want to have much to do with him after seeing him once. But she finally wanted to hold him once he was a week old and at his own home. First time mommy and daddy Rogers are doing great. Aimee is recovering well from the C-section and Benj is already back at work. I'm so glad they moved to Indy!!!
